COMPARISON OF HEALTH PERCEPTION OF TWO DIFFERENT DIVISIONS STUDENT

Objective: The purpose of this descriptive study is to compare health perceptions and factors affecting these perceptions of two different divisions students.Methods: Thestudy was carried out in Ege University Nursing Faculty and Engineering Faculty Electric, Electronics Division, in 2013-10 14Academic Year. The sample of the study consisted of 947 students of both divisions. Data were collected by using Demographic Data Form and Healt Perception Scale. Results and Conclusion: Seventy seven point four percent of the student who attended to the study (n:733) was studying in Nursing Faculty and 22,6% of them (n:214) was studying in Engineering Faculty Electric, Electronics Division. The main total score of students studying in Nursing Faculty was found as 43.83 ± 5.45 and the main total score of students studying in Engineering Faculty was found as 43.85 ± 6.52. As a result of the study, it was determined no difference between Health Perception Scale total scores of students in both schools. Also, it was found that social activity level, income level, working and being married have been affected positively the health perceptions of students (p 0.05).
