Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explain the effects on the health of adolescents in marriage.Although adolescent marriages seen very common in the world, it especially becomes a problem in low socioeconomic status and education rate among the girls. Illiteracy, poverty,some cultural and religious characteristics, wars and migration can be the reason of adolescent marriages. As well as psychosocial outcomes such as inadequacy of self-esteem, depression, suicidal thoughts, illiteracy, exposure to violence, social isolation; this marriages also may have physiological consequences such as lack of contraceptive use, multiple births, hypertensive disorders, eclampsia-preeclampsia and infection. In order to prevent such a problem which may cause health problems, measures such as constituting awareness in the community, making legal arrangements and emphasis on adolescent education must be taken.
