Abstract :
Conquest and settlement in Anatolia, began with Oğuz invasions in early XI. century and continued with Battle of Malazgirt(1071) which won in during the Great Seljuk Empire. This process continued with Mongol invasion as from XIII. century. During this period religious and social groups which came to Anatolia has also affect at the Turkification and Islamization of local folks. These groups were called the Khorasan Erens, who came from different regions of Central Asia. Apart from these classes, the dervishs which settled in Anatolia has also assist the emerge of folk Islam in Anatolia. These groups were called the Anatolian Erens.These figures who have shaped the folk Islam in Turkey Seljuks period, involved activities in various regions of Anatolia. The presence of these class are seen in the region of Kayseri, namely Seyyid Burhâneddîn, Said bin Sungur, Seyyid Şerif, Ebce Sultan were some of them. Written resources about some fractions of these people are available. Some of these people has reflections on present days with oral tradition, lodges, tombs and graves.Our study focuses upon the identity, creed and the affects to the local folks of whose came to Kayseri region during Turkey Seljuk period.
