PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMS IN MARRIAGE AND MOTHER FIGURE
Abstract :
In most of Alan Ayckbourn’s (1939- ) plays the focus is on ordinary problems which would be experienced between the man and the woman during marriage. However the playwright plays with the deep feelings caused by these ordinary problems as he wishes because he knows what kind of an effect these problems between the spouses create on stage. Mother Figure which is the first part of the Confusions also proves once more how outstandingly Ayckbourn, who has an important place among the contemporary British playwrights, mirrors the traumatic marriage of a woman.
