Abstract :
In this work, the relationship between contemporary art manipulation and visual rhetoric has been tried to be determined within the framework of the actions taken in the name of persuasion, orientation and credibility, which are seen as a result of contemporary art. For this purpose, a chronological reminder of modernism towards postmodernism was made in order to understand the change that contemporary art has been experiencing as day-to-day, and the effect of manipulation through visual rhetorical techniques was questioned, considering the transformation of the art and the future. In addition, the position of the artist in the art world was tried to be determined and it has come to conclusion that manipulation and retoriation are methods that are appropriate to the nature of contemporary art, and all kinds of persuasion and orientation are possible in the art world.
