Abstract :
This study aimed to determine the plant diversity among the genotypes in 125 bean genotypes obtained from different regions of Turkey by evaluation of various plant characteristics. Accordingly, in these genotypes, traits such as germination time, growth form, flowering time, fresh pod harvest time, the middle leaflet shape, flags color, bract color and size, flower buds and pods per bunch, pod ground color, pod second color, brittleness, stringy, bean length and width, one hundred seed weight, seed shape, seed main color and second dominant color were investigated. In this study, a wide variation among genotypes for all traits was determined. Especially, based on the weight of hundred grains, genotypes were dramatically grouped as South America (Andean) and Central America (Mesoamerican) origins.
