Abstract :

The works in the region of Kilikia and Pamphlia within the scope of regional project by managements of the museum that interfered the illegal excavations, transformed into the scientific excavation started in 1990s and 2000s. Later on, the mosaic richness of the region has been revealed. Yumurtalık excavation that was destroyed by the roadwork at the end of February and in the beginning of March, 2013 was interfered by Archeological Museum of Adana. Eros figures were designed in mosaic, on boards and on Hippocampus that was one of the mythological creatures in the figured narration that were revealed while trawling. We do not have relevant information about the responsibility and architectural arrangement of mosaic that we took into scope of evaluation within the art of Early Byzantine. Unfortunately, the field was closed before this relief excavation was resulted. However, since February 2014, it has restarted excavations.
