Management of plant parasitic nematodes by means of organic amendment

Plant parasitic nematodes (PPN) are one of the major biological constraints in various economically important crops across theworld. The use of nematicides as an effective means for the control of PPN can be environmentally hazardous. Alternatively, theutilization of organic amendments has been proposed as a suitable and economically feasible method for managing plant parasiticnematodes. In this review we provide information from across multiple studies on the use of soil organic amendment as apromising approach for suppressing plant parasitic nematodes, enhancing plant productivity, and promoting global food security.
