Abstract :
The number of women investors has been increasing recently. It is important to determine the possible differences that can be occured between investment behaviors of women and men in order to evaluate markets with respect to a healtier base. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences between women and men investors in the level of being exposed to various psychological and emotional factors affecting the risk perception. The real data which is associated with the commercing activities of 31 individual investors at İMKB between the dates of January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009 were used in alaysis. It was found that there were statistically significant differences between women and men investors in the level of being exposed to various psychological and emotional factors.
