Abstract :
Turkey has recently drawn attentions with a rhythmic diplomacy that it has caught especially in the Middle East. Turkey has reached to a position which is effective and has a voice in the region by using the cultural relations and historic points properly and effectively in the region. Libya is one of the countries that has changed regime as a result of the Arab Spring. Libya is a highly important country in strategic and economic terms. Libya has a position that Western powers are also interested closely. The historical, cultural and economic connections that Turkey has with Libya has required Turkey to take an active role in Libyan Arab Spring. The effect of Turkey becoming increasingly stronger in the region has also drawn attentions of Western powers. The aim of this study is to examine the attitude of Turkey towards theArab Spring in Libya with a constructivist perspective. To deal with the understanding under Turkey’s attitude towards Libyan Arab Spring with a constructivist approach constitutes the problematic of the study. Within this regard, it is emphasised that Turkish foreign policy describes Libyan people identity based as a friend and fellow public with respect to human rights, democracy, fundamental rights and freedoms. As a result of this understanding it is asserted that the international community needs to behave without harming the interests of Libyans.
