HOTEL SELECTION USING INTEGRATED AHP-VIKOR METHOD
Abstract :
Customer preferences, especially the hotel preferences, are an important issue in the tourism sector. Hotel preference, which incorporates many factors, is a multi-criteria decision-making problem. In this study, 5-star hotel enterprises located in Kemer district of Antalya province, which are selected according to specific criteria, are included in the analysis and determination of the hotels preference ranking is aimed for potential customers. According to this, the weights of 6 criteria used in hotel evaluation are calculated by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Then, 5 different hotel alternatives included in the analysis are evaluated and the best alternative is selected by using VIKOR method. The study demonstrates that the VIKOR methodology combined with AHP is an efficient decision tool and it can successfully be applied by potential customers when selecting their hotel.
