Abstract
The big calamity that believed to be sent by Allah to a nation in order to punish them, according to Holy Scriptures and many myths during history of humanbeing, is named as tufan (=flood). The details of this flood varies from culture to other, however, the best known is that of Noah. The mythological kind knowledges concerned with Noah (pbuh) and flood, that is involved in İsrailiyat and took place in Siyer and Tefsir books have been narrated for centuries. These knowledges, generally, focus on replies about questions like “Was the flood happened at the time of Noah (pbuh) general in whole World? Or did it happen in a region/was local? Where is this region? How was the vessel and who boarded it? Where did Noah and his people live?” This study which consists of replies to mentioned questions related to Noah (pbuh) and flood story, is a translation of related part from the book “Levami’ul-Cevahir bi-İsna Aşere Fennen Yucahir” by Seyyid Feyzullah Findiki who lived at the slopes of Cudi mountain.
