Abstract :
It is undoubtedly one of the most important milestones of Turkish tele-writing, with its real name “Kitab-ı Dede Korkut âla Lisan-ı Taife-i Oguzhan” and with its mostly known name Dede Korkut Tales.Epical elements in Dede Korkut tales are one of the most important evident showing that it was nurtured with oral tradition before it was used in written form. The most important qualities of Dede Korkut Tales are that it showed the good and the truth with the way of “Showing Model” or “Creating Model”. While showing this model, it sometimes shows the bad model models for concretizing the things that should not occur. Dede Korkut Book is a custom book which explains the past within the frame of Turkish mythology and which presents model human types for the future with its twelve sizes which can be considered as its introduction or concrete stories of the introduction. That is, it was tried to tell what should and should not happen according to Turkish custom by equating with heroes in these stories with the events occurring around those heroes.
