INVESTIGATION OF ADOLESCENTS PERCEIVED SOCIAL SUPPORT AND TRAIT ANXIETY LEVELS

In this study, it has been investigated whether perceived social support and trait Anxiety scores of adolescents differ in terms of gender, and class level. 200 adolescents (85 girls, 115 boys) chosen from two high schools in the center town of Burdur have formed the study group. In this study, The Social Support Assessment Scale for Child and Adolescent Trait Anxiety Inventory has been used. In the analysis of the obtained data, Two Way MANOVA has been used. Findings have shown that perceived social support scores differ in terms of gender and in terms of class level, trait anxiety scores not differ in terms of gender and in terms of class level The findings are discussed in the light of the literature and field studies related to new researchers and various suggestions were made.
