Abstract :
Democratic Party has given an and to one party-rule lasting for 27 years in 1950. During DP rule reign, the policy was spreaded to the public so while making a positive contribution to the Turkish political life it also provided to make a national, liberal, socio-economic structure than from a repressive state understanding nation. The most remarkable features of the period were agricultural reform, freedom in foreign trade, the increase of investment expenditures, giving priority to private sector industrialization, legacy of social policy laws to the workers. In terms of these situations, the strict politic system in Turkey is ended, and the country witnessed its most remarkable changing. In study, the socio-economic policies during Democratic Party were studied. While doing the research some macroeconomic indicators were used. As this study is a situation determination research in both the social and economic the first half of the period were observed as fine. But, as of the second part of the reign, it is difficult to say that mentioned developments could be provided exactly.
