Abstract
The establishment of the Turkish Aeronautical Association was a process that encountered many hard times. The two most important stages in this process were the establishment of the Aeronautical Association, and the opening of the Airplane School. Immediately after these developments, which were mainly started by the efforts of War Minister Mahmut Şevket Pasha, some airplanes were bought with donations collected from the Ottoman lands. Also, from 1912 onwards, some more donations were made, by personnel from the Treasury and Military Offices, Court House, Law Enforcement Agency, Bank of Ziraat employees and civil servants of some district governorships, based solely on their desire to support the establishment of the Turkish Aeronautical Association. The purpose of this article will be to examine the donation that the Law Enforcement Agency made in order to buy its own airplane, the amount of this donation and where and how this donation was collected.
