Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine physical education and sports teaching students’ academic locus of control and achievement goals, and to reveal the relationship between these two structures. A total of 85 students (37 girls and 48 boys) participated in the study. Academic Locus of Control Scale and The 2x2 Achievement Goal Questionnaire were used to determine students’ academic locus of control and achievement goal orientations levels. Independent sample t test and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze data. Results showed that learning approach goal orientation was a significant predictor of internal locus of control and external locus of control.
