  • Abstract
A circularly polarized feed for an S -band high gain antenna system is designed to have a minimum axial ratio when radiating into free space. However, when the feed is located at the focal point of a 2-ft diameter parabolic reflector, the axial ratio "blows up." An experimental technique, which overcomes this difficulty without any change in the basic feed structure, is described. In addition, other RF test results are presented.
