Abstract
The effect of plastic deformation on the hysteresis curves of constructional steel has been studied. A theoretical model is discussed which describes the magnetization curves using damping coefficients and parameters characterizing domain interactions. An analytical relationship between initial susceptibility and the parameters of the model was derived. The analysis of fourteen specimens demonstrated that the damping constant k and the parameter of a decrease with increase of plastic strain while parameter α decreases. The physical meaning of these changes is discussed.
