Abstract
All 10,611 members of IAS received a member survey form during late August or early September of 1994. By early November, 2,470 responses were received from about 23% of the members. The responses were analyzed by a management professor who conducts survey research, Paul Swamidass, who provided a report to the IAS Council on March 22, 1995. This article is based on the Swamidass report with additional interpretation by 1992 IAS President Dayne Aldridge.<>
