Abstract :
A new coplanar stripline to microstrip line transition is experimentally demonstrated and modelled using the finite difference time domain technique. The measured insertion loss and return loss for two back-to-back transitions with a short length of microstrip line in between are better than 2.4 and -10 dB, respectively, over the frequency range of 5.1-6.1 GHz. The bandwidth of the transition is ~18% at a centre frequency of 5.55 GHz
