Abstract
It is emphasized that the surface wave generated by a dipole or line source along an infinite dielectric plane layer is represented definitely as Norton´s surface wave type. Pertaining to this fact, is is stressed that the adoption of the residue term alone is insufficient in many cases especially when the case for a thin film is treated.
