Abstract :
Coupling between the electromagnetic (EM) field of a small thin-wire antenna and an adjacent finite biological body is investigated analytically. Proximity effects of the body on the impedance and radiated power of the antenna are studied; the induced field and dissipated power in the biological body are determined. Radiation fields of the antenna-body system are evaluated.
