Abstract :
Numerical investigation of scattering electromagnetic plane waves by a circular conducting cylinder is considered. The results presented are 1) validity of asymptotic far-field expressions when it is applied to calculate near-field around the cylinder and 2) equicontours of amplitude and phase of total field around the cylinder.
