Abstract :
A 35 GHz, magnetron-based, compact pulse radar is presented. It contains some novel solutions of four electrically switched slot array antennas having fan beam patterns, solid-state modulator adaptive for the miniature magnetron and digital receiver techniques with advanced processing. It is designed for obstacle and rain detection for collision warning in helicopter applications.
