Abstract :
The magnetic circuit of power transformers for switched mode power supplies is analyzed, and formulas are derived. A counter-biasing permanent magnet may be included in the magnetic circuit to increase the range of utilization of the magnetic saturated flux density Bs of the ferrite cores. The working principle of such counter-biasing magnets are discussed.
