Abstract
Restoration of image shape or connectivity has been achieved by using eddy current data taken with a recording head style probe. Examples are included showing results on an EDM slot much smaller than the probe gap area and on incised letters comparable to the gap in size. Details of the preprocessing and the Wiener filter used are described. Other, less computationally intensive, image processing for finding slot size is also discussed.
