  • Abstract
    This paper describes, mainly, the I.V. Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy (IAE) test facility for a large-scale superconducting (SC) magnet and test results of the T-15 toroidal field (TP) Nb3Sn coils. The results of hydraulic, thermophysical and electrical tests of full-scale experimental coils under the conditions close to the operating ones in the TF magnet have confirmed the correctness of the main design solutions and allowed one to start the production of the working coils. Technological tests of the working coils preceding their installation in the T-15 magnet have been started.
