Abstract :
After defining an indiscernibility relation and performing a region fusion process, regions are formed from the image. The histogram is constructed using the mean grey level of each region; a histogram equalisation process is applied to obtain the transformation function for enhancement. This new method, LIHE, demonstrates better results both visually and quantitatively.
