Abstract
The expanded delta network (EDN) is first described and its performance is evaluated. Then, replicated, dilated, and expanded delta networks are compared to each other and to the crossbar switch in terms of the minimum crosspoint complexity required to achieve target values of maximum throughput. It is shown that the crossbar switch is less complex than delta-based networks under some conditions, while the EDN requires lower complexity than replicated and dilated delta networks
