Abstract :
Feedback implementations of analogue median filters have a fundamental tradeoff between speed and accuracy. This restriction is relaxed using the proposed novel limiting amplifier, for which the linear range can be set independently of the transconductance. Simulations confirm an improvement by a factor of 3 in the peak systematic error, with no significant effect on the bandwidth
