Abstract
A dipole made of coaxial stubs, with or without wire end extensions, where the stubs act as built-in matching elements, was patented by Snyder. This type of dipole is analyzed, with the result that the bandwidth is roughly equal to that of a dipole of the same fatness, with a lumped resonant circuit at the terminals. The bandwidth is also equal to that of a comparable folded dipole, but the impedance of the latter is four times larger.
