Abstract :
Performance of an integrated navigation system is investigated through simulation techniques. This is a real-life system designed, built and in use today on large oil tankers. A description of the system operation is followed by a discussion of simulation methods and results. Results include performance characteristics as a function of sensor errors and ship turning parameters.
