Abstract :
Calculation results are presented for the injection and extraction beam lines of the SR-2000 stretcher ring and for the parallel beam-transfer system of the LA-200 linac. The beam transport lines incorporate spin rotators and an energy compression system which reduces electron energy spread to 0.1-0.2%. The spin rotators control spin orientation in the operating energy range of the stretcher. Principal characteristics and design features of the electron optical lattice of the LA-SR-2000 linac-stretcher complex are described. The calculations including second-order aberrations indicate that the slightly increased beam emittance was due to the electron energy spread. To compensate for the quadratic effects, sextupole lenses will be installed in the beam channels.
