Abstract
We show that there is a tradeoff between the feedback properties of the target feedback loop and the quality of recovery when the loop transfer recovery (LTR) procedure is applied to multivariable nonminimum phase discrete-time systems. Explicit expressions quantifying this tradeoff are provided. The relevant design issues are also highlighted
