Abstract
Resin bonded magnets are prepared from Sm2Fe17 Nx compounds and their magnetic properties and stabilities are investigated. The magnetic properties of the Sm2 Fe17N3 fine powder are: Br=13.4 kG, Hci=8.6 kOe, and (BH)max=30.3 MGOe. The bonded magnets show (BH)max of 19.4 MGOe, and better stabilities against environmental conditions than Nd-Fe-B magnets. It is found that Sm2Fe17Nx compounds have potential applications for bonded magnets with high performance
