Abstract :
During the last five years there have been more than a dozen books published on microprocessors and related systems, most of which fall into the category of design data books. Fundamendals of Microcomputer Architecture, however, is an at empt at a more general look at microprocessors. Doty uses two popular microprocessors—the 8080 and MC6800-t— illustrate the various aspects of microcomputer architecture. In this process, however, some of the chapters become so cluttered with details that it begins to resemble a design handbook.
