Abstract :
This letter presents a novel high efficiency power amplifier (PA) with good bandpass responses. By designing a bandpass filter (BPF) with different load impedances to meet the requirement of PA, good bandpass responses can be exhibited. Compared with the classical cascaded PA and filter, the total size of the proposed design is greatly reduced. Meanwhile, the bandwidth is extended. Two transmission zeros are generated at the passband edges, resulting in high selectivity. For demonstration, a filter-integrated PA prototype is implemented. Both theoretical analysis and measured results are presented for validation.
