Abstract :
Highly efficient four-wave mixing (FWM) using synchronous modulation with a single phase modulator is proposed and successfully demonstrated. Wavelength conversion and chromatic dispersion compensation using the mid-span spectral inversion technique by FWM are also demonstrated successfully.
