  • Abstract
    This article examines total quality management and looks at where Quality Management System British Standard 5750 fits within TQM. BS5750 (Part 1, 1987) is then explained in theory and practice. Misconceptions regarding the standard are exposed, and the benefits explained. The article is aimed at all engineers, as putting quality into the product is the responsibility of every employee.<>
