Abstract
This brief offers a circuit theoretic explanation of the pseudolumping technique that uses the method of characteristics for analyzing lossy transmission lines. A matrix-operator based error analysis is presented in the frequency domain, which can be used to define the validity of the approach within some error bounds and to efficiently arrive at the order of “lumping” in terms of the line parameters
