  • Abstract
    The V-I curve, axial, and radial discharge images for cylindrical hollow cathode discharge are investigated. Results show that three modes appear with averaged discharge current increasing: 1) Townsend mode; 2) self-pulsing mode; and 3) hollow cathode effect mode.
