Abstract :
A particular procedure is suggested to implement a high-range-resolution pulse-echo ultrasound technique by means of a frequency-domain exploration of the tested device and a successive Fourier inverse transformation of the measured data. The improvement with respect to conventional methods is estimated, and an experimental setup based on the use of a commercially available vectorial network analyzer is presented.<>
