Abstract :
The author believes that much conventional wisdom in software engineering resembles folklore more than science. He presents some new views of mature ideas on software quality and productivity. Scientists like to think that they bring objectivity to their work. The author shows that subjectivity is inevitable and that intuition should be used with great caution
