Abstract
Spreadsheet packages are inexpensive, run on machines of modest specification, and are widely available not only to professional engineers but also to learners in universities, colleges and schools as part of general information technology provision. This article presents some of the ways in which spreadsheets can support the teaching and practice of engineering and technology, with examples drawn mainly from electronics, control, and telecommunications
