Abstract :
An improved digital supermode distributed Bragg reflector laser with a monolithically integrated semiconductor optical amplifier with ex-facet output powers greater than 20 dBm over the full C-band is reported. In addition, the sidemode suppression ratio was greater than 40 dB over the full timing range.
