Abstract :
A new millimetre wave Ti:LiNbO3 optical modulator is demonstrated from 26-40 GHz. Phase modulation of 60 degrees /W12/ is observed at 30 GHz. The modulator is constructed in a fin line geometry. Detailed characterisation of the microwave transmission line is accomplished by application of the method of lines.
