Constitution and bylaws changes

From time to time, amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws (C&BL) of the EMC Society are required in order to maintain their relevance and to align them with the organizational structure of the Board of Directors (BoD). The changes shown here were approved by the IEEE EMC Society BoD and approved by the IEEE. The purpose of these changes is to eliminate the potential for individuals to hold both the position of "Director-at-Large" and an executive position on the BoD and to provide greater opportunities for people who are new to have the potential to be elected to the BoD. In accordance with the procedures for amending the Constitution and Bylaws, they are being published here. These amendments become effective 30 days after publication in this magazine unless ten percent of the Society members object. Comments or objections may be sent to g.pettit@ieee.org.
