Abstract :
The distributed arithmetic philosophy has been shown to support very high data rate linear shift-invariant filtering. These filters traditionally exhibit a Direct I structure. A distinctly different architecture, namely the Gray-Markel filter, is studied in this note. Efficient and high-speed distributed arithmetic Gray-Markel filters are shown to be feasible.
