Abstract
In this paper, we focus on developing and demonstrating the application of a complex quantized feedback technique to mitigate unwanted effects of the direct conversion receiver (DCR) using adaptive filtering. The approach is based on cross-coupling the I and Q signal paths of the DCR with suitable adaptive filters. The obtained results indicate that the proposed compensation technique can be used to suppress dc offset, baseline wander effect, I/Q mismatch and flicker noise, and has applications in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing signaling.
